Fall 2019 Rec Soccer

Registrations after 8/20/19 are subject to available teams and late fees may apply due to increased fees to print shirts. The Glens Falls Rec Soccer Program, operated in partnership with Northern United Soccer Club, provides a fun learning environment for children in grades pre K-6 who live in Glens Falls or other surrounding areas. The program will start Saturday September 7th and end October 19th. Games and practices are held at Crandall Park usually twice per week on Saturdays and during the week. Volunteer parent coaches are required to field teams. Registrations after 8/8 may have a short delay in receiving their team jersey. Welcome to the Glens Falls Recreation Soccer on-line registration site operated in partnership with Northern United Soccer Club.

2019 GF Rec Soccer registration is now open for grades pre-K to 6th grade. 

(Pre-K must be 4 years old by start of program)


As always - volunteer parent coaches are essential to ensure we have enough teams for all players. Coaching support is available.

Fall 2019 Schedules  and program info will be emailed to parents the week of 9/2. The program starts on Saturday 9/7.

Please note that there will be a late fee applied for late registrations initiated the week before the progrm start date to offset extra charges we incur for printing shirts.


Any registrations after 8/8 may receive their team jersey after the first game. Please note that we reserve the right to wait list any registrations after 8/20 due to team availability.

The 2019 program starts on Saturday, September 7th. All registrants will be sent program information and schedules via email close to the start date. We use the email address you use to create your account. Please read all the information in the letter in that mailing. You may also view your team roster by signing back into your account and clicking on the team wall.

If you did not play last year – just follow the steps below.

The rec soccer program is now being operated in partnership with the Northern United Soccer Club to enhance your child's soccer experience. We are sure that you will find our registration site will prove easy and convenient to address your interest in fall rec soccer.  

The Rec Soccer program is committed to bringing a fun learning experience to all youth participants. Our goal is to introduce young players to the sport of soccer and help them learn the fundamentals and skills to develop a love for the game while participating in healthy exercise.

Registration fees are a low $40.00 per child which includes a team shirt.

Just follow the simple registration screens to create an account and register your child. Payment options at the end will include options for paying by credit card or mailing a check. Here is what you will be asked:

  1. Simply provide the requested contact information to create your account. Please note your email address and password because you can use these again in the future to quickly sign in and register for future fall rec soccer sessions.

  2. Add your child to the account and click on their name to register for the upcoming rec soccer session.

  3. indicate their school and shirt size as requested.

  4. checkout and select your payment option.

  5. You're done! - You will also receive a purchase confirmation notice.

Parent volunteers are needed to help operate this program. If you would like to volunteer as a parent coach - simply click on your name (or add an interested parent's name) in the account and register them as you did your child. There is no charge for this registration and the Northern United Soccer Club will provide guidance through their club coaches so you are confident and comfortable working with the playersTeams can not be finalized until we have a sufficient number of volunteer parent coaches. The number we receive will dictate the number of teams we can field.

Prior to the program start (usually the week leading up to the Saturday start date) , you will receive an email through this Sports Illustrated site with more details about the program such as needed equipment, dates and schedules.

Recommended Items Players will need for the season:

  • Jerseys will be provided to all players through the program

  • Cleats, Shin Guards, Black Shorts, soccer socks to cover shin guards.

  • Balls  Kindergarteners (Size 3)  1st thru 6th graders (size 4)

  • Always bring a water bottle, and consider a small healthy snack

  • The Field house will be open for restrooms and changing.
